All new disabled toilet installations are required to have an emergency assistance alarm system fitted, under the BS8300:2009 standard, and the facility can be retro-fitted for safety and care of users. A disabled toilet alarm allows the user to call for help in case of need by pulling on a cord. Our choice is mains powered with battery back up and includes both audible and visual alarm signals. It must be fitted by a qualified electrician.
